- 27 speakers - Microsoft MVPs, MCTs, Microsoft FTEs, and independent experts
- 36 sessions - keynotes, deep-dive technical talks, and hands-on workshops
- 3 days of content, plus a Day 4 social program around Sarajevo
- ~80 participants from 18 countries across Europe and beyond
The format mixed two keynote tracks (Microsoft and go deploy), expert sessions, and a workshop day, with a Speakers' Welcome Dinner, a Group Dinner, and a Farewell Dinner anchoring the evenings. The goal was simple: serious content during the day, real conversations at night.
The three content tracks
Sessions were organized into three tracks so attendees could follow the path that matched their role - whether deeply technical, training-focused, or leadership-oriented:
- Track 1 - Deep Dive into Microsoft Cloud Technologies. Technical sessions on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and security, AI, and modern infrastructure. Built for engineers and senior MCTs who want depth, not overviews.
- Track 2 - Training Mastery & Learning Innovation. Instructional design, classroom delivery, learner engagement, and the craft of teaching technology well. The track that makes great trainers great.
- Track 3 - Cloud Strategy, Business, and Leadership. Practice-building, customer enablement, monetizing training expertise, and the business side of being an independent MCT or running a training organization.
The three-track structure is a deliberate part of the Summit's identity - it acknowledges that the MCT community isn't one audience. A senior Azure architect, a corporate L&D lead, and a training-business owner all belong here, and they all need different rooms.
What made MCT Summit 2026 different
Most Microsoft community events sit in the usual hubs - Amsterdam, Berlin, Lisbon. The MCT Summit deliberately picked Sarajevo. Two reasons:
- The Western Balkans community deserved a flagship event. Trainers and engineers from this region travel everywhere; it was time the region hosted.
- Sarajevo punches well above its weight as a host city. Walkable, affordable, with the kind of layered history that makes side-conversations memorable.
The bet paid off. Attendees who had never visited the region left as ambassadors for it - which was always part of the plan.
Who was behind it
The Summit was hosted by Jasmin Kahriman, Damir Dizdarevic, Rolf McLaughlin, and Robert Hales - a small volunteer team of MCTs and community contributors who put the event together for the European MCT community.
The MCT Summit is volunteer-organized and community-funded - every sponsor euro went into the venue, AV, catering, and keeping ticket prices accessible for trainers from across the region.

Sponsors who made it possible
Headline support came from Microsoft and go deploy, who delivered keynotes and workshops as well as backing the event financially. Additional sponsors included Virsoft and a tier of regional and community partners. The full sponsor wall is on the official site.
If you're a vendor in the Microsoft training, security, or cloud-tooling space, sponsorship for MCT Summit 2027 is the kind of audience you don't get cheaply elsewhere - these are the people who train your customers.
